Cookie Policy

This is a short policy because Rang360 is genuinely light on cookies. We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking - only the storage that keeps the app working, remembers your settings, and powers our cookieless product analytics.
In short: we don't track you across the web and we show no ads. We use a small amount of first-party browser storage to keep you logged in, remember your accessibility settings, and (unless you switch it off) measure feature usage with pseudonymous, cookieless analytics.
What we use, and why
Strictly necessary - keeping you logged in
Supabase Auth (our login provider) stores your session/access token in your browser's localStorage. This is what keeps you signed in between visits. Without it the service can't function, so it's classed as strictly necessary.
Functional - remembering your preferences
Rang360 stores a few first-party values in your browser's localStorage so the app behaves as you'd expect. These are functional, not tracking:

Analytics - understanding how Rang360 is used (cookieless)
We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) on the app and on this website to see which features are used and where errors occur, so we can improve Rang360. It runs cookieless: a small amount of analytics state lives in your browser's localStorage, and no analytics cookies or advertising identifiers are set.
- In the app, events are linked to a random account identifier, never to your name or email, and never include the content of your lessons, notes, files or searches.
- On this website, there is no account, so events are effectively anonymous page and click counts.
- There is no session recording and no cross-site tracking.
- You can turn analytics off at any time in the app under Settings → Preferences, and clearing your browser storage removes the analytics state entirely.

Third-party - only during external flows
Third-party cookies only appear if you use an external flow:
- Google sign-in (once enabled) - Google sets its own cookies during the sign-in redirect, governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Stripe checkout (once paid plans launch) - Stripe sets its own cookies on its hosted checkout, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
What we don't use
- No advertising or ad-network cookies.
- No analytics cookies - our analytics runs cookieless, using first-party local storage only.
- No third-party tracking cookies and no cross-site profiling of any kind.
Do you need to consent?
Login and settings storage are strictly necessary or functional, so no consent is needed for them. Our analytics is first-party, pseudonymous and cookieless, with no advertising and no cross-site tracking, and we keep it as close to the "strictly necessary" end of the spectrum as analytics can be. You stay in control either way: switch analytics off in the app under Settings → Preferences, or clear your browser storage at any time. If we ever add advertising or marketing tools (we have no plans to), we'll update this policy and introduce consent controls first.
Managing storage
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Note that clearing them will sign you out of Rang360, reset your local preferences and remove any analytics state.
